Arena — a 2D multiplayer fighting game in your browser

Arena is a free browser-based 2D multiplayer brawler. Open the page and you drop straight into a live arena as a random fighter, alongside up to 24 other people. There is no login, no download, no matchmaking queue and no lobby to wait in — the time from page load to throwing a punch is the number this game is built around.

Fights run on regional servers in North America, South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, so you are placed in the arena nearest you. You can also pick a region by hand and send someone an invite link when you would rather take the latency than miss the fight.

Fighters

Nine fighters, each with a light attack, a heavy attack and a special: Scrapper, Bruiser, Flea, Stretch, Anvil, Ollie, Vigil, Bastion and Servo. You are assigned one on arrival.

Stages

Five stages: The Backlot, Smokestacks, Drift, Ziggurat and The Colosseum.

Controls

Move with the arrow keys or WASD, jump with Space, and attack with J (light), K (heavy) and L (special). On a phone or tablet, on-screen controls appear instead: a thumb pad on the left, jump and both attacks on the right.

Requirements

Any modern browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly — Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, on desktop or mobile. Nothing to install and no account to create.
